We are in full Holiday mode around here. All the hustling and bustling getting ready for the upcoming holidays!!! I always like to find the most unique gifts for the fur kids that live at our house, and this year has proven to be no different:-) I love to make my own dog treats from time to time and this nifty pan that I found is perfect for just that!!! It makes 10 dog bone treats at one time in the silicone pan and the recipes are included! I’m going to have to have one of those for sure! I don’t know about you….but I have stockings that need to be full on Christmas morning and this will be perfect!

Something else that I happened to find on my great “holiday gift hunt” were these little dog bone shaped cakes! They are the perfect size for my two fur babies when we decide to have a party! Sometimes we just pretend that someone is having a birthday just to have a party:-) The other thing that’s cool about these is that they are microwavable with a candle included:-) Another perfect stocking stuffer…..for a fur kid or its’ owner!

So now you should be all set for the holidays!!! Just don’t forget to throw in a new collar, harness and leash:-)

Calming your Dog ~ Thunder and Fireworks

I love fireworks ~ in fact ~ we ARE the firework entertainment for our lake:-) My dogs hate it!!! My little Brassy Sue has no idea that it’s her pappa that is shooting all those fireworks!!! When it’s all over, he arrives on the scene, and she tells him everything that happened while he was gone:-))) She’s a pappa’s girl so once again……he looks like the hero! Bomber Moose is a momma’s boy and he hates it but he hangs in there with me until the end. If you have the same issues with loud noises with your dog, here is a link to check out. Oil Spill Needs Your Pet Fur

Who knew that our pets’ fur could help with this environmental disaster. There are many grooming salons that have been shipping donations of pet fur to aid in creating absorbent booms to soak up and remove oil from the recent spill in the Gulf. Once fur shipments arrive in the Gulf Coast region, volunteers gather to assemble the booms and prepare for their deployment. The booms are made by stuffing donated nylon stockings with hair and fur. With this collaborative effort, up to a ton of fur a day will be shipped. This is a wonderful way for all of us pet owners to help protect our environment.

Wow!!!! The things that I come across when I’m not even looking. These Business Bags are sooo cool!!! They give a whole new look to “poop bags”. Croc’s For Your Pet

Everywhere you look people are wearing crocs. They have become the “voice of feet” from newborn to nursing home. Imagine my surprise, while strolling through the Pet Expo in Orlando, when I spotted this pet bed in the shape of a croc!!! I have to say it is pretty funny. They call it the Sasquatch Pet Bed. It comes in six colors and has a sock that can be easily removed for washing. All I could think when I saw this was “WOW”!!! Now you and your pet can match!!! Carmel, California for Spring Break anyone??????

There are always two big questions when it comes time to plan a trip. What are we going to do with the dogs? and where should we go? I think I have your answer for you. If it’s not your answer, it might be mine:-) Looks like “Carmel-by-the-Sea: Dog Heaven on Earth” is where everyone will be happy. In this read you will find that they have everything covered. The hotels, restaurants, shops and galleries welcome canine companions, with some going as far as to offer special doggie menus and treats. Pet High Chair

We have discovered a great way to keep our pets out of trouble. This high chair (better known as a sassy seat for some of us) lets your pet sit next to you while you work, read, dine or surf the Web. When I accidentally stumbled upon this, I thought to myself “girlfriend!!! you have just found the best idea for keeping track of the little fur blob”. This chair works extremely well when potty training. It conveniently attaches to any table top surface. It’s the cheapest babysitter I’ve found yet:-) It’s easy to tote as it folds flat. I love it!!! I use mine when I do art fairs as it takes up little space and keeps my “fur kids” up where I can see them.
