HOW TO MEASURE Wrap a measuring tape around the pet just behind the front legs. The tape should not be loose or tight and should provide the pet with a comfortable fit. If the tape is wrapped snugly around the pet, it may be best to select the next size up in order to make sure the harness will be comfortable and not too tight. It should be noted that this harness is made out of leather and due to the natural characteristics of the leather, the harness will soften and become more flexible and conform to the pet's shape. It is important that the harness isn't too large once it has been worn and softened. The Shoulder Collar should be fitted such that the pet does not have enough room to pull out of the collar. Harness sizes match the circumference of the pet's chest behind the front legs. Measurements taken behind the pet's front legs should allow for a comfortable fit and not be tight. A good rule of thumb is to snugly measure the pet's chest circumference and add an inch to allow for comfort.
